For the past 14 years, Milwaukee Empty Bowls has been uniting the community with local artists, restaurants and entertainers to help alleviate hunger. This 15th year is sure to take it to the next level, and Colectivo is excited to support!On Sunday, October 6, from 12-4 pm at the MSOE Kern Center, donate $20, take your pick from over 2,000 handcrafted bowls and sample scrumptious soups and breads from local restaurants. Colectivo will be ladling up Centgraf Farms Roasted Tomato Soup with Tarragon, Sunflower Sprouts, and Veggie Confetti, served with Parmesan Foccacia.The event will also feature live entertainment, activities for kids and information from this year's 10 recipient organizations about how their programs help feed Milwaukee's hungry. More than 95% of the funds raised on October 6 will directly benefit area food pantries and meal programs. Donations of non-perishable food items will also be accepted for Hunger Task Force.A 15th Anniversary Raffle will feature bowl-inspired artwork made by local artists.  You can purchase raffle tickets or get a sneak peek of these works at Colectivo Prospect on Friday, September 27th at Bay View Gallery Night.Bowls purchased at the event help benefit Milwaukee's hungry and serve as a reminder that someone's bowl is always empty.
