It's officially cold brew season. For those who are craving a Cold Brew Horchata, here's a simple guide to make your own at home. Let's go!
What You'll Need
- Coffee, ground course
- French Press
- Oat Milk (or your favorite dairy/non-dairy milk)
- Ground Cinnamon
- Vanilla Extract
- Simple Syrup
- Ice
- Pint Glass
1. Make Cold Brew
- Start with 60g (3/4 cup) coarsely ground coffee in a clean french press
- Add 240g cold, filtered water
- Saturate all of the grounds by stirring with a spoon
- Steep in the fridge for 20-24 hours
- Plunge the french press and pour the cold brew concentrate into a separate, larger container
- Add 540g cold, filtered water
2. Combine To Create A Cold Brew Horchata
- Fill your pint glass to the top with ice
- Take your cold brew concentrate and fill the pint glass half way
- Fill remaining glass with your choice of milk, we prefer oat milk for this recipe
- Add 1oz of simple syrup
- Add a few drops of vanilla extract
- Stir
- Add a dash of cinnamon
- Enjoy!
