Introducing Ethiopia Kebero

Starting Monday, May 8, 2017, we are pleased to introduce our new Ethiopia Kebero!  The name celebrates Ethiopian tradition, while also allowing us more flexibility in sourcing options for our year-round Ethiopian coffee offering.Moving forward we will no longer carry Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, and will offer the Kebero in its place. For now our Ethiopian Session coffee will come from the Guji region, though we may source from other parts of southern Ethiopia (including Yirgacheffe) in the future.

ETHIOPIA KEBERO: As the birthplace of coffee, Ethiopia stands out among other origins for its unique profiles. The growing regions in the southern part of the country in particular are renowned for their delicate, floral, and citrusy flavors complemented by refined acidity.Named after a double-sided hand drum commonly used in traditional music, our Kebero captures these distinctive characteristics and underscores Ethiopia’s special place in the coffee-producing world.
