Prospect Ave.---------------------------------------------------------------ABOUT THE COFFEE, available October 3: Each year Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas Limitada (COCAFCAL), one of the best-known producer groups in Honduras, invites roasters and importers from around the world to judge its “Te Van a Conocer Compa!” coffee competition. Colectivo first participated in 2009 and was excited to return again in March 2016 to taste micro-lots submitted by COCAFCAL members. Cooperative General Manager Omar Rodriguez Romero uses the event as a means of improving production methods, building relationships, and elevating coffee quality. After cupping more than 100 flights, we purchased our highest-scoring lots to bring you this limited seasonal offering.
