Thursday Night Throwdowns (aka TNT's) are industry events with an emphasis on community building and friendly competition. Baristas and other coffee industry professionals put their skills to the test in a bracket style 1v1 test to pour the best and technically precise latte art. Some rounds come with their own unique challenges, so anything can happen in this winner-take-all coffee tournament!On Thursday June 29 at 7PM at the Prospect Back Room, Colectivo will be bringing back its Pride themed latte art throwdown! Come on out and pour some milk for the chance to take home the grand prize of $1,000 (additional prizes for 2nd and 3rd place)! Hosted by local drag queens Melee Mcqueen and Nemo, the Pride Throwdown will additionally have a food pop up from local food vendor Maya Ophelias and a pop up cocktail/mocktail bar from Rishi! We'll even see our hosts put on their own drag performance in the middle of the night! Sign up will be first come, first serve so make sure you show up so you can show out! Additionally, we will have an open practice bar for those guests looking to try their hand out at pouring latte art without the pressure of competing.
