At Colectivo Coffee Roasters, coffee has always been about more than what’s in the cup — it’s about connection, creativity, and the communities that shape our cafes. We’d like to announce an extension of our Guest Artist Series with a new project: Two Walls at Logan Square, an evolving art initiative designed to spotlight local artists.
A Rotating Local Art Experience
Two Walls is an extension of our broader commitment to supporting artists and creative voices. Throughout 2026, featured artwork will rotate quarterly, bringing new artists, fresh energy, and an ongoing sense of discovery for everyone who visits the cafe.
By highlighting artists connected to the community, we aim to create a space where coffee, art, and conversation naturally intersect — something that’s always been a core part of Colectivo.

Meet the First Featured Artist: Lupe 3000
Our first artist of 2026 is Lupe 3000 (Sydney Romero), whose larger-than-life portraits explore scale, color, and movement. His paintings draw inspiration from neon tones found in folklórico Mexican culture alongside digital-era aesthetics like vaporwave and city-pop.
The result is artwork that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Through exaggerated color palettes and atmospheric effects — what he describes as viewing memory through “rose-colored glasses” — his work reflects not just how life looked, but how it felt. Symbolism, cultural references, and personal memory combine to create layered compositions that invite viewers to slow down, look closer, and connect.

Where Coffee, Community, and Creativity Meet
Projects like Two Walls reflect what we believe a neighborhood cafe can be: a place to gather, discover local talent, and experience creativity alongside thoughtfully roasted coffee. We’re proud to share our walls with artists who inspire our community. Next time you’re at Logan Square for coffee or a visit, take a moment to enjoy the current installation — with new artists rotating throughout the year.
