Chicago, IL - Colectivo Coffee is excited to announce plans to open a new Evanston coffee shop at 2945 Central Street late 2026 or early 2027.
Our second Evanston cafe will bring fresh roasted coffee, handcrafted espresso drinks, made-from-scratch food and a welcoming neighborhood gathering place to the Central Street community. Like every Colectivo location, this cafe will be designed to reflect the character of the neighborhood while creating inviting spaces for residents to sit down and connect.
The new Central Street cafe will transform the former Lincolnwood Service Station, a historic building originally constructed in 1938 as a Pure Oil gas station. The renovation preserves the building's distinctive architecture while reimagining the space as a neighborhood coffee shop. Large overhead garage doors will open onto an expansive outdoor patio with landscaped seating, benches and a trellis—creating a seamless connection between the indoor cafe and outdoor patio.
Inside, guests can enjoy Colectivo's full cafe menu, including signature espresso drinks, freshly roasted coffee, cold brew on tap, all-day breakfast, freshly prepared sandwiches, and house-made bakery items. The cafe will offer seating for 48 guests indoors and approximately 80 guests on the patio.
